Gretchen provides clinical trauma assessments for children between the ages of 0-17 to measure the impact of complex trauma. She has more than 10 years of experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds. Gretchen previously coordinated the "Study of Foster Parent Training for Traumatized Children" research project, conducting research interviews and analyzing and presenting project data.
Gretchen also has experience as a Certified Prevention Specialist. She developed, evaluated and oversaw the implementation of community and school-based substance abuse and violence prevention programming. She is certified as a facilitator of the Strengthening Families Program and Project Alert, a youth substance abuse prevention program. Gretchen has provided leadership for a substance abuse community coalition funded by a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant, developing community-based prevention strategies to improve the health and resiliency of young people and their families.
