The First-Year Experience Student Leader Application:
We are pleased to announce that we are now taking applications for all of the Office of Student Transitions Student Leader Positions. Below you will find a link to the online application, position descriptions and more. Please be sure to read through the information thoroughly prior to completing the application.

Applicants applying for only the Fall Welcome Ambassador position must complete the Student Transitions Student Leader Application, submit a resume along with two names and email addresses of references, and participate in a group interview (date listed below).
Returning Fall Welcome Ambassador must complete the Student Transitions Student Leader Application and submit a resume along with two names and email addresses of references. Returning applicants do not need to participate in the group interview but may be asked to participate in an individual interview.
Applicants who need an individual interview will be notified and be asked to sign up for a scheduled time.
Group Interview Dates:
GROUP INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD IN 1920 SANGREN HALL
Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Saturday, March 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Individual Interview Dates:
Applicants who will need an individual interview will be notified and given the opportunity to sign up for an individual interview.
Anyone interested in applying for the Fall Welcome Ambassador position must complete the online application. As part of the online application process, applicants will be asked to submit a resume. The resume must contain the following information, at a minimum, name, phone number, local address, previous schools (if you transferred to WMU), academic status (FR, SOPH, etc.), major(s) and minor(s), cumulative WMU GPA (after fall 2017 semester), honors and awards, and any leadership organizations, positions, and job experience (volunteer and paid) that will benefit you in one of the Student Transitions Student Leadership Positions.
For assistance with completing a resume, Career and Student Employment Services has a number of resources available including the Career Resource Guide and the Career Zone. In addition, the Haworth College of Business can offer assistance through the Zhang Career Center.
Applicants applying for only the Fall Welcome Ambassador position will have until Monday, March 19 at 5 p.m. to complete the application process.
Applicants will need the name and email addresses of two references who can speak to the applicants’ leadership skills.
THE APPLICATION CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED ONE TIME AND MUST BE COMPLETED IN ONE SITTING. BE SURE TO HAVE THE RESUME AND EMAIL ADDRESSES AND NAMES OF TWO REFERENCES AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME.
