DIRECTIONS

The University Theatre is located on the campus of Western Michigan University at the corner of Stadium Drive and Howard Street, right next to the Miller Auditorium. You may also get detailed directions from your location to The University Theatre by using WMU’s interactive map.

PARKING

Free parking is conveniently located directly outside of the Gilmore Theatre Complex. Additional parking is also located in the parking ramp next to Miller Auditorium. After 6pm on performance nights you do not need to put money in any of the parking meters in these lots. Please be aware that multiple events on campus can cause congestion in this area, so allow plenty of time for parking and entry to the theatre.

ELEVATORS & SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS

An elevator is located in the lobby of the Gilmore Theatre Complex directly past the box office window.
Special seating arrangements can be made by contacting the box office directly at (269) 387-6222. When purchasing tickets for a Shaw Theatre production, patrons with difficulty walking should request seating on the left side of the theatre.
Assistive listening systems are available free of charge for performances in the Shaw Theatre and the Williams Theatre. Simply present your driver’s license at the box office to check one out.

LATE SEATING

Late seating is always at the discretion of the house manager. Please note that due to the intimate nature of the theatre, late seating may not be possible for performances in the York Arena Theatre. When possible, late comers will be seated in a late seating section at an appropriate break in the performance.

RECORDINGS AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Recordings and photographs of any kind are not permitted at University Theatre productions.
Electronic devices of all kinds must be turned to the off position when inside the theatres. Patrons text messaging or emailing during performances will be asked to leave the theatre.
