The Student Advisory Board is comprised of representatives from the various classes and areas of the department who are chosen in an annual student election. They act as a liaison between the Department of Theatre students and the faculty. The board calls student meetings and attends periodic faculty meetings to make recommendations concerning such things as season selection, curriculum, policies, and procedures. They plan social events throughout the school year for students, assist with new student auditions, and serve as student representatives on the University Theatre Guild Board of Directors.
