STARS AND MOON CABARET
On most Friday and Saturday nights, the Atrium Lobby of the Gilmore Theatre Complex is transformed into a New York style cabaret: tables built for two, candlelight, and a grand piano await you as you leave one of the University Theatre performances. Chances are good that you will be persuaded to linger for an hour and listen to the enchanting music offered by students of the Music Theatre Performance program.

This series of cabaret performances features students who are on the verge of their professional careers. Each cabaret artist, with his or her own uniquely packaged show, will entertain the audience with songs from musical theatre greats such as Kander & Ebb, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Berlin, Gershwin, Porter, and Sondheim. Also heard will be the music of the more daring breed of composer, such as Coleman, Loesser, Schwartz, Webber, and Weill as well as new forces on the Great White Way, like Brown, Guettel, La Chiusa, Larson, Menken, and Wildhorn.

The Stars and Moon Cabaret is entering its seventh season. If you haven't seen it yet, you might want to stop by. And if you have been in the audience before, we greatly appreciate your support and hope you will come again in the future.

Cabarets begin immediately following the performances listed below.
