Musical Theatre Performance, 2008

Topher Nuccio has performed on tour (Curious George; Live!) and in many regional theatres such as the Arvada Center (All Shook Up, Seussical, Sunset Blvd), Music Theatre of Wichita (2008 Season), Northern Stage  (Spelling Bee), and the Infinity Theatre Company (Little Shop of Horrors). Most recently, he joined the cast of the hit Off-Broadway musical Silence!: The Musical, and shot an episode of the TBS sitcom, “Are We There Yet?”

Just six months after graduation from WMU’s MT Program, Mikey made his broadway debut as Big Deal in the hit broadway revival of West Side Story; directed by Arthur Laurents. While West Side Story was closing, Mikey started rehearsals to join the Broadway company of American Idiot, where he got the privilege to share the stage with rock legends like Billy Joe Armstrong and Melissa Etheridge. Mikey has since joined the first national tour of the musical Wicked where he plays in the ensemble and understudies the large hearted munchkin named Boq.

Hannah Elless recently made her Broadway debut in the revival of Godspell! She made her Equity debut in the National Broadway Tour of Mamma Mia! Other professional theatre credits include:  Private LivesThe Adventures of Pinocchio, The Emperor’s New Clothes (Chicago Shakespeare Theater; One More Sleep ’til Christmas w/William Finn (Laurie Beechman); Lizzie in Baby (Actors Theater Company); Gertrude McFuzz in Gertrude McFuzz (Fontana Performing Arts).


Design and Technical Theatre, 2010

Joshua Reid has been working in New York City at the  Lincoln Center Festival and the Fringe Festival, as well as such venues as the David H. Koch Theater, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and Carnegie Hall.  Joshua has worked on Broadway as the sound engineer for the House of Blue Leaves and RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles. Currently, he is the associate to sound designer Abe Jacob.  His projects include the Korean production of Hero, the international tour of the Spirit of America Marching Band, and Sweet Bird of Youth on Broadway.

Crystal Lucas-Perry is currently in graduate school at New York University. This summer, Crystal will work and perform at the esteemed Williamstown Theatre Festival. She will have the opportunity to perform alongside Sam Rockwell and Jessica Hecht in A Streetcar Named Desire directed by David Cromer. She will also be in Fellowship Company working with Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tommy Kail who will create a new musical and a new play to premiere at the festival.

After graduating from WMU, Larry Herron went on to earn his M.F.A. in Acting from the University of California, San Diego. Herron was a featured guest on three primetime network shows last fall: Medium, Numb3rs, and Cold Case. Other television credits include ER, Lie  to Me, and Chocolate News. Herron’s WMU credits include Othello, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Six Degrees of Separation, A Flea in Her Ear, and The Importance of Being Earnest. Herron is also an adjunct professor at La Sierra University.

David Alpert

Directing and Stage Management, 2006

David Alpert is the assistant director for the upcoming Broadway revival of THE BEST MAN by Gore Vidal, and the Associate Director of musical Flashdance. Assisting credits include White Noise produced by Whoopi Goldberg, Tony Kushner’s The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide… in its world premiere, directed by Michael Greif, Knickerbocker Holiday at Lincoln Center, and the Broadway revival of Guys & Dolls.

Before graduating from WMU, Kelly Feight began her career as a news producer. Today, she is the Executive Producer for WXMI – FOX 17 Morning News in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She continues to  perform on a regular basis as part of the Grand Rapids Symphony Chorus. She was seen on the WMU stage in our productions of A Little Night Music, The Pajama Game and Brigadoon.

In just over three years, Kathleen Rose Perkins acquired a BFA in Musical Theatre. After traveling parts of the Midwest performing in various regional theatres, Kathleen made her way to Los Angeles. Since then, Kathleen has worked solely as an actress in film and television. Credits include Without a Trace, How I Met Your Mother, Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas, a recurring role on HBO’s Tell Me You Love Me and Michael Bay’s The Island.

He is a  2010 nominee and the 2009 winner of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation award for online journalism and a 2010 and 2008 honoree of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association for column writing. He also has hosted the web-based ESPN360 talk show Game Night.
