Acting Studio

The Acting Studio is a a 37’ 4” x 37’ 4” specialized teaching studio that hosts acting classes, voice and movement labs, rehearsals and workshops. These classes range from Shakespeare to dialects to music theatre staged readings and more. There is a mirror lining one wall, used in movement and dance classes, and the floor is properly sprung to protect actors and dancers from injury. The Acting Studio also houses lighting instruments used for training and exercises in Stagecraft I and Lighting and Sound Design classes.

The Acting Studio uses the following equipment, primarily for courses in design and technical production:

- 30-dimmer lighting system with two-scene preset control console, and an inventory of 17 lighting instruments, cable, color media, and accessories
- two-channel sound system with tuner, compact disk/cassette deck, and four speakers
