How is technology changing writing instruction?

Dr. Jonathan Bush offers
sites and resources to
support study and research
in composition studies
in English language arts
teacher education courses.

The web can provide supplementary readings and projects that can be used to introduce key methods and theories in composition studies.Currently, most of the links here include readings and articles, rather than compilations of websites, though the online composition resources will continue to develop as the site grows.

The topics addressed in this page are ones typically read, discussed, and researched in English 479: Teaching Writing in Secondary Schools, the capstone methods composition course at Western Michigan University. They will include overviews of composition instruction and key issues in composition.

The wiki is one innovative web-based technology used in collaborative writing projects. Learn more about wikis or visit the English 479 Wiki Page.

This site is designed to support these courses as they are taught at WMU. Suggestions or additions can be e-mailed to Jonathan Bush at jbush@wmich.edu.
