About Vicki V
My name is Vicki Van Patten and I will be starting my junior year here at WMU. I graduated from Harper Creek High School in 2010 and came to Western Michigan University.
My decision to come to WMU started when I was a freshman in high school. I applied for the WMU Incentive Scholarship and I was set on becoming a Bronco! I decided to major is sociology because I really like working with children and families and I hope to someday work with children in foster care or work for DHS. I started out taking a few sociology classes at first and decided that this was something I really wanted to pursue.
When I am not studying or in class I enjoy being a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success at WMU. We have leadership training days, do community service and lots of other activities that keep me busy. I also like to go to many of the events on campus!
