Advice for Freshman

Go to class! If you don't, no one is going to make you, but then you will fail your classes. You have to be on top of your own classes and schedule. It is your responsibility to get good grades and maintain good academic standing, so put your heart into it! Remember, college is preparing you for your job, which will determine how your life goes! Good Luck!

About Pasha S

Hey everyone, my name is Pasha and I am a junior here at Western Michigan University! It seems like just yesterday I was a freshman. Boy does time fly by. Although WMU is on the west side of Michigan, I am from the east side of Michigan and it is a pretty long drive (two and a half hours) but I love this school! I wouldn't trade it for the world. I believe that college is the best experience that anyone can have, and I encourage everyone to attend college to get the full experience!

I visited many college campuses, and I was beginning to think that I wasn't going to find a school that would cater to my needs enough. I finally toured WMU and found everything that I needed wrapped up in a cozy comfortable school that suited all of my needs very well. I love it here, and I wouldn't trade WMU for the world.

I adore life in college. I don't think there is another experience as fascinating, life changing, and developmental as college. You really learn who you are while you're in college. In my experience, I have co-founded an organization that promotes information and encourages and assists students with their future careers as broadcasters, producers, video editors and more. In addition to that, I have been a part of academic fraternities and learned all kinds of skills and things that will help with my future. In terms of spare time, I have plenty, and I usually spend it shopping or studying. I like hanging out with friends, and just having fun!I adore life in college.
