BackgroundThe best advice I can give to incoming students is to get involved and leave your residence hall door open. Part of college is meeting new people and experiencing new things. This is the best way to experience that.
Hi, my name is Nick and I am a 2005 graduate of Grand Haven High School. I have always been extremely involved in both business and community service activities in high school and at WMU.
When looking at schools a couple years ago, I got accepted into all four of my choices, but decided on WMU for a couple of reasons. First of all, when I came on my tour I fell in love with the campus and the people who attended WMU. Also the business program is great here and the campus is only 15 minutes from one side to the other.
I am what people would call the “crazy college student”. I work three jobs, am a full time student, and am a brother of a community service fraternity here on campus. I will be an Orientation Leader for the incoming class of 2008. This will also be my third year as a Fall Welcome Leader and First Year Seminar Student Co-Facilitator. In my free time, (when I have it) I am usually just hanging out with my roommate at our apartment.
