BackgroundAlways get two opinions. Be careful with talking to your community college
advisor. They don’t always know everything.
Hi my name is Lindsay. I’m an incoming transfer student from Muskegon Community college. I’m from North Muskegon and I graduated from Reeths-Puffer high school. In high school I was involved in coaching tennis, girls on the run, and instructing dance classes. I played varsity tennis as a freshman fill-in all the way up until my senior year in high school and continued on into college. I played college tennis at Muskegon Community college and in the winter I will be trying out for the USTA or USPTA.
I decided to attend Muskegon Community college where I was awarded a half-ride scholarship. When the time presented itself I started looking into many universities (Michigan State and Grand Valley). I took many campus visits, talked to many academic advisors, and asked more than two hundred questions. The school with the best answers, the most academic advising, and the greatest tour ever was Western. Western I guess sort of fell into my hands.
I’m currently not involved in any activities or organizations. I have an amazing gift at keeping myself busy as it is. I’m always finding things to do…sometimes when I should be doing homework instead. I love being outdoors, playing football, basketball, tennis, or even a nice walk outside. I also enjoy going to sporting events around campus. Unlike other universities, Western’s sports are free for enrolled students. If the weather doesn’t uphold its part I enjoy shopping around Kalamazoo or seeing a dollar movie at Miller Theater.
