My advice for freshmen: Don't get yourself lost! Get involved by participating campus organizations, meeting people, and making friends. Get help when needed, don't be shy, there are many opportunities provided by Western! Make the best of your college years and enjoy being BRONCOS!
Hi! I am an international student from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 2012. I'm in the college of Arts and Sciences. I'm a freshman at WMU and I am loving it!
In my senior year in high school, I was choosing between WMU, Michigan Tech, Mercer University, NMC, Wayne State, and Central. I got accepted to all, so I decided to take tours at each college to find out which one fit me the most. I had been to Western for 3 times and absolutely loved it. Also, having a scholarship at Western was a plus. And here I am! I'm enjoying Western and being a BRONCO! I am majoring in biochemistry and want to specialize in pharmacy. This major is about helping people cure their illnesses, which I want to do.
I'm currently Director of Records of RHA (Residence Housing Association). RHA is one of the biggest organizations on campus. We, as a group, coordinate and organize many programs and events, inform and encourage students to participate for their own good. We also work with hall councils and help them improve. There is always the way to get involved on campus and experience best college years at Western.
