Advice for Freshman

I like to tell all students to GET INVOLVED!! Joining an organization is such a great way to meet new friends who share a common interest with you and not to mention; it's fun! That being said it is also important to be able to manage your time well so you still do well in your classes, after all your education should be your number one priority!

About Kaylee

Hello! My name is Kaylee and I'm a sophomore here at Western Michigan University, studying occupational therapy. I graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park, IL in 2011 and grew up in the South Side suburbs of Chicago.

I decided to come to Western after I went on a second tour of western's campus. I was amazed at how nice the campus was and I loved how everyone I passed would smile and say hello! When I entered school here I declared a business major because that was what my parents wanted. I soon found that business was not the path for me and decided to switch into the health field with occupational therapy!

My favorite part about college is all of the registered student organizations that Western has to offer! I am in about ten organizations on campus because I like to stay nice and busy! One of my favorite organizations would be The Campus Activities Board (CAB). I am the Information Technology Coordinator for CAB and have made so many friends and been given some incredible opportunities.
