BackgroundMy advice consists of only four things: 1. GET INVOLVED! 2. Branch out! It will help you find out who you are. 3. Live in a residence hall for at least one year. 4. Enjoy it!! Your first year at a big university will be your best one.
Bonjour!! My name is Justin and I am from Jackson, MI. I went to Jackson High School and graduated in 2006.
The reason why I chose WMU was because I got accepted to every school I applied to for different concentrations including Aviation, Nursing and Meteorology. I had no idea what to do, so I shuffled up all my letters and randomly picked one. Thankfully I chose the letter from Western for Aviation. Unfortunately Aviation was not for me, but WMU was fully committed to aiding in my search for a major. So, thats why I stayed and I couldn't be happier!!!
College is definietly some of the best years of anyones life!! I try really
hard to stay involved on campus. I am a member of the French Club, a Sindecuse
Theatre for Community Health Peer Educator, Program Mentor for the Student
Success Program and I was also an Orientation Student Leader and a Fist Year
Seminar Co-Facilitator. I lived on main campus in Henry Hall my freshman year,
and it was one of my favorite memories that I have had so far!! I met my best
friends who I am now living with!! In my spare time, I paint, act, read "en
francais" and am learning how to play the piano.
