Try to make this the best four years of your life! There's so many different ways to have fun here in a safe environment. Be responsible with everything ( class, friends, work.) Finally try to collect all those memories, special moments, and solid relationships and keep them!
Hello, Im Juan Jose, I graduated in 2007 from Colegio Instituto Montessori in the city of Santo Domingo; Dominican Republic. I decided to transfer to WMU in Fall 2011 simply because I wanted to come to Western. Some of my friends were already here and they said that this is a great school. Some of the things I like to do are play soccer, listen to live music and swim.
I grew up in the Dominican Republic so when I graduated from high school I went straight to college but it's NOT the same experience. Back in my hometown people go to college for a certain amount of time and then they have to go back home. I decided to transfer to a different school outside the country. Luckily, I got a full ride scholarship to study here at WMU. Some of my friends were attending WMU at that moment and they used to call me everyday to tell me how amazing it was so I went online and looked for the College of Business. Turns out it it fits perfectly to my needs and preferences.
There's always something to do here, whether you go watch a movie, there's a special event on campus, games, intramural sports, or different organizations you can join. I've met people from every single part of the world I think since there's so many different cultures on campus. When I got here for the first time I decided to go out and do things, be involved as much as I can and try to help others; I wouldn't change one thing. I'm really glad and excited that I decided to come to WMU and I can't even describe how proud I am of being a Bronco.
