BackgroundThe best piece of advice for both incoming freshmen and transfer students is dive in to WMU! Getting involved in the various student organizations on campus is an easy and fun way to make friends, and to develop skills beyond the classroom.
Hello! Welcome. My name is Eric and I am from Metro-Detroit suburb of Livonia, MI! Livonia is home to Benjamin Franklin High School where I graduated in 2005.
What makes me unique here on the campus of Western Michigan University is
that I am a transfer student. My decision to finish my education at WMU
had a lot to do with my major. As an Organizational Communications major
there is no better campus in America to be studying. With 100 years of
tradition and some of the most recognizable names in the nation in fields
such as Leadership - WMU takes the cake in Communication Studies! Also,
being from the Southeastern part of Michigan I am in love with WMU’s
beautiful open landscape, and its proximity to Lake Michigan.
Making the move to WMU has been so far one of the best decisions of my life.
The students, faculty, and community involvement here in Kalamazoo has been
unbelievable. On campus I also work for the Walt Disney Company recruiting
for the various internships that are offered. In my free time you can find
me either beautiful Downtown Kalamazoo enjoying the amenities or with my buddies
watch WMU football.
