BackgroundMeet someone new everywhere you go. Get involved in a few things that interest
you. But don't try to go to everything that people ask you to. That’s
being over involved and instead of helping you enjoy college it may make it
too stressful.
Greetings everyone! My name is Courtney B. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I graduated from Cass Technical High School in June of 2008. I knew I wanted to come to Western since my junior year of high school and no one could convince me that there was a better college for me. Although Western was my top choice and I knew if I was accepted I was coming here, everyone advised that I apply to other colleges so I did. Along with WMU I applied to Saginaw Valley State University, Siena Heights and Wayne State University. I was accepted to all of them but my heart was set on Western.
Once here I declared my major as aviation science and administration. Now things have changed a bit. I'm a double major in Psychology and Spanish and a minor in Social Psychology. Even after switching majors, I still loooooove aviation. I like to do research concerning the various fields and I'm still involved with a lot of people in all three aviation majors. Not to mention I just love planes! So feel free to ask me any questions about Aviation as well! It’s one of my favorite hobbies.
Besides being a WMU Student Ambassador I am also the treasurer for Alpha Omega Co-Ed Christian Fraternity INC. My crossing name is Big Sister Justice. I loooove my fraternity and thank God for calling me to this ministry.
Outside of school, work, and my fraternity I love going to the volleyball, hockey and football games. I also enjoy going to the movies, skating, bowling and random road trips with either family or friends.
