My advice for incoming freshmen is to use your time wisely. Do not procrastinate. Also, step out of your comfort zone and get involved on campus. It's a great way to meet new people.
Heyyy! My name is Chelsea and I am from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I graduated from a very the very small City High School in 2011. I played tennis my sophomore year and I was a cheerleader all throughout high school. This is my second year here at WMU and I absolutely love it! IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A BRONCO!!
As I was narrowing down on colleges, Western was not one of my first choices. I chose WMU because it was far enough from home that I felt like I was away but close enough that I could visit whenever I wanted. My plan was to transfer out of state after my freshman year. But after my first semester I knew WMU was the school for me. I felt like it was the best choice I could have made. Now I am going into my sophomore year, majoring in biomedical sciences. My plan is to become a pediatrician. I love working with children and I also wanted to work in the medical field, so that just seemed like a perfect fit.
I am involved in a praise dance organization called Hope Praise Dance Ministry. In this organization I learn a lot and do what I love to do, which is dancing. I also participate in different activities around campus. You should never have a reason to be bored; there is always something to do on campus. Go Broncos!!
