Advice for Freshman

Freshmen year is probably the most exciting and most fun year just because you get to learn so many new things. You may feel overwhelmed at first, but I promise you, freshmen year is often when you'll meet some of your best friends for life.

About Beth

My name is Beth and I am from Lansing, Michigan. I graduated from Lansing Catholic High School in 2009.

I actually was looking at a few schools initially. I had a big plan to go out of state for college but then I went and visited my brother who went to WMU at the time and I absolutely loved it here. I never went on a tour but after even just visiting once I was hooked and knew WMU is where I wanted to go! When I first arrived to WMU I wasn't completely sure what I wanted to major in but I knew I wanted to do something sports related. I began with Athletic Training as my major but have just recently switched to Exercise Science.

Freshmen year I lived in the residence halls, and I absolutely loved it. The residence halls were where I met some of my very good friends that I still remain close to.
