Advice for Freshman

SCHOOL FIRST! We’re all paying thousands of dollars for our education so make sure you use your time wisely and make sure school is your first priority, you can have all the fun and relax when you’re taking care of business! Plus it’s cool to see all of the worry-warts around finals who aren’t taking care of business while you relax and take it eaaaazzzy!

About Annescia

Hey kidds! My name is Annescia and I am currently in my second year here at Western! My hometown is Lansing, and I went to J.W. Sexton High School, GO BIG REDS! I am a psychology major and enjoy doing Sign Language, shopping, traveling and trying new things. I am a very goal-oriented individual and am proud when I accomplish what I have set out to do.

During my time at Western I’ve participated in the Theatre for Community Health and First Year Seminar, I am also an official member of Western’s Alpha Lambda Delta chapter.

I chose to come to Western because they had a really fantastic program for my major…psychology that is. I looked at a few other schools but they didn’t seem to fit, after taking my tour of Western, I fell in love with the campus and the people here and I have not since regretted that decision.

I am a participant in Alpha Lambda Delta, an honors fraternity. I'm also in a women’s book study group. I live here on campus and love the atmosphere, on the weekends I like to go to the movies, to plays, dinner and shopping!
