BackgroundHello future Broncos! My name is Alexia. I am a sophomore here at Western Michigan University, and am majoring in speech pathology and minoring in psychology. I am from Grand Blanc Michigan and graduated with almost 700 kids in 2011 from Grand Blanc High School. I ran track and played volleyball. I love sports!
I visited Western my senior year in high school and immediately fell in love. The campus is beautiful and the students here are so friendly. It's small enough where I can see a familiar face every day but also, big enough that I can meet someone new too. WMU is my home away from home. Western has an amazing speech pathology program which is another important reason why Western was the school for me. My professors are great and the College of Health and Human Resources is a beautiful building filled with great classes.
You can find me cheering on the Broncos at every home game during football season and I am probably one of the loudest people at every hockey game in the student section. The atmosphere is incredible. Another favorite place of mine is our recreation center. It is a great way to get fit and release some stress when you have a lot to do. Besides classes and working with amazing Student Ambassadors, you can find me doing amazing things with my sorority. Greek life was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have lifetime sisters who support me and help me grow. WMU has made my life better! GO BRONCOS!
