About Alana

Hello, my name is Alana and I am a junior here at Western. I am from Haslett, Mi and am a 2006 graduate of Haslett High School.

I started out going to Lansing Community College right after high school and was working toward an associate degree in Fashion Technology. After a year at LCC, I realized that I wanted to go to a university. I started looking around on websites. A friend told me that WMU had fashion design and I applied and was accepted! I love to sew and ended up loving my major.

I joined the organization MODA as soon as I arrived at Western. It is a fashion based organization and we put on two fashion shows a year. I also lived on campus for two years and I really liked it because I met some of my best friends. I like to go downtown and go to the movies and eat at restaurants.
