The Bernhard Center offers a perfect setting for your conference, meeting, banquet, holiday party, wedding reception and much more. With over 22 meeting rooms ranging in various sizes the Bernhard Center can accommodate groups of two to 1200.
WMU departments, employee organizations and registered student organizations may utilize the Virtual Event Management System (vEMS) to request space within the Bernhard Center.
You must have a Bronco NetID and password to access a vEMS account. After you have signed into vEMS, Jean Bowsky-Verschoof will establish your account within 48 hours. After 48 hours you will be able to sign in again and begin making reservations.

You are responsible for all reservations requested through your Bronco NetID and any fees with all events reserved. By requesting space through our online reservation system you are acknowledging acceptance of these terms and agree that your Bronco NetID is considered equivalent to your signature.

Facility use is subject to University and Bernhard Center policies. The Bernhard Center is a smoke-free and barrier-free facility.
There are 22 meeting rooms available for RSO sponsored events: meetings, conferences, banquets, dances, festivals, etc. You can view Bernhard Center floor plans for locations. The West Suite (208, 209, 210) can be divided into three individual rooms. The East Ballroom can be divided into two large rooms. RSOs must adhere to the RSO Food/Catering Policies.
The Bernhard Center meeting and conference rooms may be reserved by University departments, Registered Student Organizations (RSOs), and community members. Twenty-two flexible meeting rooms can be set up in a variety of ways to accommodate customer needs including meetings, lectures, exhibits, banquets, and conferences. Dining and catering arrangements can be easily coordinated through the WMU Catering office, which is located at the Bernhard Center.
The Bernhard Center is an ideal location for personal, community and regional organizations to gather for weddings, special occasions, meetings, conferences, seminars, festivals, and banquets. With small, medium and large meeting facilities, including Kalamazoo County’s largest ballroom, there isn’t an event too small or too large for the Bernhard Center. Contact the Bernhard Center office to inquire about availability and arrange a meeting with event planning staff.
