Honors House

Students enrolled in the Lee Honors College can opt to live in the Honors Community. Located in Ackley Hall, the community provides both academic and social synergy. The community has a strong partnership between the Lee Honors College and the Office of Residence Life.

House highlights:

  • Residents a mixture of majors throughout all the WMU colleges
  • Community has all-honors floors and blended floors for those requesting a roommate not in LHC
  • Activities include dinner with the dean, coffee talks about current issues, and social opportunities with other LHC students
  • Some honors classes taught in the hall
  • Honors Student Association meets frequently in the building and sponsors activities in the hall
Student staff members in the Lee Honors College
  • Dining hall located in the building
  • Ackley Hall located in Valley I

How do I sign up for the community?

During the online sign-up process you will be asked to select a special interest housing option. Simply select Honors Hall as your preference and indicate Ackley Hall as your first choice. Space is limited after May 15, so list an additional three residence hall preferences. If you have a roommate preference who is not part of LHC, both you and your roommate must request each other to be matched in the community.
