About TRIO SSP (and how to find us)
TRiO SSP is a federally funded program that helps first-generation, income-eligible college students and college students with disabilities complete their bachelor’s degree and transition to graduate school and professional life.
TRiO SSP has moved! We are now located in Ellsworth Hall next to the Bernhard Center.

Headlines
Benefits of joining TRiO SSP include:
- Helpful teachers, advisors, and student mentors
- Two free WMU credit in Fall by enrolling in and passing our FYE 2100: First-Year Experience seminar
- One free WMU credits in Spring by enrolling in and passing our UNIV 1030: How to Market Yourself class
- Priority Registration, which allows you the ability to register for classes on the first day of registration
- Lots More! Leadership development opportunities, volunteer experiences, use of our computer lab, limited scholarships for students that are Pell recipients, cultural enrichment activities, employment opportunities, graduate school preparation and career exploration
NOTE
ALL TRiO students need to meet with their TRiO advisor twice during each semester to remain active participants within our program to receive resources and services. Remain an active participant!
