The Spanish Major or Minor

*Please note: For the Non-teaching major, the last sentence should read:
Plus 4 additional SPAN courses, 3 of which must be at 4000- or 5000-level (12 hours)

**Please note: For the Non-teaching minor, there should be an additional sentence: Plus 1 additional Spanish course at the 3000-level or above


Make certain you refer to the catalog year for your program. No student may graduate under a catalog which is more than ten years old.

Online placement and monitored test-out exams (required before enrolling)

Spanish majors must satisfy WMU's Baccalaureate Writing requirement by successfully completing LANG 3750, Foreign Literature in English Translation.

Only courses in which a grade of "C" or better is obtained will be counted toward a Spanish major or minor.
