The Graduate Certificate in Health Care Administration offered by The School of Public Affairs and Administration at Western Michigan University is intended for health care workers who desire to enhance their managerial skills, but do not want to complete a 39 credit hour master's degree before deciding to pursue a master's degree. The certificate can be completed at Western Michigan University's main campus, or at one of the extended university program sites.
Graduate certificate students who want to preserve the option of eventually earning an MPA degree should consult with their advisor to ensure all or most graduate certificate credits will transfer to the MPA program. Under these conditions, an MPA program can be obtained by successfully completing an additional 18 credits of MPA core courses and the Project Paper Seminar.
The Graduate Certificate in Health Care Administration is a non-degree seeking program which may not qualify for certain financial aid or scholarships. If you have questions, please contact our office.
