"Walter Jensen completed his Master’s degree in Comparative Religion in April of 2003, under the guidance of Prof. Rudolf J. Siebert, with his defense of his thesis, Religion and Mother Right: Erich Fromm’s Application of Johann Bachofen’s Theory. As a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology, his chief focus is the critiques of modern society by Erich Fromm and the other scholars of the Institute for Social Research, better known as the ‘Frankfurt School.’ His current research interests are sociological theory in general and conflict theory in particular, the sociological contributions of Erich Fromm, the antagonism between the religious and the secular, dialectical method, ideology critique, alienation, class antagonism, the material conception of  history, the hierarchy of needs, teaching critical sociology, and the sociological impact of theodicy."
