Frank Weichlein

Frank Weichlein is an instructor of Sociology at Western Michigan University . He earned his Bachelors of Science from Western in Sociology, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice in 1978. In 1991 he earned his Master of Public Administration degree, also from Western. He has taught part time at Western since 1988 focusing his classes on juvenile justice systems and casework practices. Frank has worked in the juvenile justice field for over 22 years as a child guidance worker, diversion caseworker, probation officer and casework supervisor and is currently employed by the 9th Circuit Court for the County of Kalamazoo-Family Division as the Intake Department Supervisor. Until recently he served on the Board of the Community Dispute Resolution Services and is currently President of the Michigan Association of Youth Serving Agencies and a member of the Kalamazoo Public Schools strategic planning team. Frank enjoys golf, boating, ice hockey
and coaching youth hockey. |
