Undergraduate Program
The Department of Sociology offers majors in both Sociology
and Criminal Justice. In addition, a concentration in Social
Psychology is available within the Sociology major. These
majors are designed for four-year students and for those
transferring from other colleges.
Undergraduate Advising
As you progress through your career at Western, it is
important to stay in touch with the department’s
undergraduate advisor. Advising hours may change from
semester to semester, but you can always find out what they
are by calling (269) 387-5286. Meeting with the
undergraduate advisor can help you in many ways. The advisor
can check on your progress toward completing your degree,
inform you of any special topic courses that we offer,
provide information about changes in classes that may not
appear in official course listings, direct you toward
academic resources on campus, and point you toward sources
of additional information about careers in sociology and
criminal justice.
