Alpha Kappa Delta is an international sociology honor society. The society recognizes academic excellence of undergraduate and graduate students. WMU's chapter is open to those who have declared sociology a major and achieved a junior or higher status with at least four completed courses within sociology. A 3.0 GPA in sociology courses and overall is also required. Applications are accepted by the Department of Sociology and are available outside Sangren 2420; they may be turned into to Sangren 2420 at any time but must be received by January 30 in order to be eligible for annual induction at the Department of Sociology's Annual Spring Honors Reception.
