Dr. Douglas Davidson
I
received my B.A. from Tougaloo College (Tougaloo,
Mississippi) in Sociology, and my M.S. from the Illinois
Institute of Technology (Chicago, Illinois) in Sociology. I
received my Ph.D. from the University of California,
Berkeley, also in Sociology.
I am Currently Employed as Associate Professor of Sociology
at Western Michigan University. I am also employed part-time
with The Union Institute, which is an alternative
non-residential graduate school based in Cincinnati, OH.
Previously, I was employed by the Departments of Black
Studies at City College of New York; the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte; Amherst College; and the University
of Massachusetts at Boston.
I delivered numerous lectures on Race and Ethnic Relations,
Black Studies, and Multicultural Studies. I also
participated in and lead several workshops and symposia
related to these areas of study and practice.
