Taylor had a long list of potential schools to consider, but her decision came down to this: "At Western, they care." Taylor felt everyone at Western-faculty, staff, other students-genuinely care about each other and such a community could help her succeed.
Of course, the engineering program (and campus) didn't hurt. Taylor loves to take things apart and put them back together, making her a perfect fit for the mechanical-engineering major. She also plans to add a second major or minor, environmental engineering, along the way to help in her quest to make cars more efficient.
With all the clubs and activities available to engineering students, Taylor will keep busy. She's particularly interested in the Baja Car and generally wants to build things. A true engineer.
