Rachel is a life-long athlete with no plans to play pro sports. She's not sure coaching appeals to her, either. Enter athletic training. Through "the best program at Western," she says, she'll be on her way to training a recognizable sports team-pro or college-in the near future.
A number of trainers at her high school were graduates of WMU and helped Rachel make the decision to become a Bronco. The program at Western sets people apart and earns them jobs. She can take all the classes she needs and choose from multiple options within the major to do exactly what she wants in a career.
Aside from the program, Rachel cites the feeling on campus as one of the reasons she chose Western. Of all the schools she visited, WMU was easily the friendliest.
In her free time, Rachel plays sports (she was on a state-championship soccer team in high school) and is involved with Campus Crusades.
