To keep things honest, Nikki had her heart set on another school for a long time. She applied and was accepted. All her friends were going there. It seemed like an obvious choice. But then she stepped onto WMU's campus. At that moment, she knew Western was the place for her.
In addition to the sense of community she immediately felt, WMU had the programs and research opportunities she wanted as an aspiring aeronautical engineer (as if that's not enough, she's planning to make it a double major with chemical engineering).
To hear an engineer talk about the engineering campus is fun. They know it's amazing and they don't hide it. Nikki is excited about the "off-campus campus" and all the engineering clubs available to her like the solar car and cement canoe.
The engineering community within the Western community as a whole affirms Nikki's decision to be a Bronco.
