Laboratory

Many lab tests are performed on site. Others are sent to an outside reference laboratory with results returned eletronically. The reference lab bills independently from Sindecuse.

Radiology (X-ray)

We perform general diagnostic procedures. Films are ready for immediate review by a Sindecuse Health Center clinician when ordered at our facility; all x-ray images are referred to a radiologist for further interpretation. X-ray images become a permanent part of your medical record and remain on file for a minimum of seven years after the last procedure performed.

Accreditation and compliance

The Health Center's Laboratory and Radiology Department performs many standard diagnostic lab and radiology procedures. Our laboratory is accredited by the Commission of Office Laboratory Accreditation in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988. Quality control is mandated by these qualifying groups and is met through proficiency testing provided by the American Proficiency Institute. Our Radiology Department follows Federal Regulations and is registered with and inspected by the State of Michigan, in conjunction with the WMU radiation safety officer.

Sindecuse employees are certified medical technologists and radiographers registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
