Screening |
Do you know your high density and low-density lipoprotein levels?
You should. Twenty-five percent of all Americans age 20-74 have
cholesterol levels that place them at risk for heart disease.
Everyone should have his or her cholesterol checked at least
every 5 years!
Cholesterol testing process:
- Make an appointment with Diagnostic Services (lab) by calling
387-3245.
- You must fast (no food or drink except water) at least 12
hours before your blood draw.
- Prior to going to lab, come to the Office of Health Promotion
and Education (room 3120, Sindecuse Health Center) to fill
out paperwork. Proceed to lab.
- Test results will be mailed to you within 7-10 days.
Cost: Call 387-3263 for current rates or if you have questions
