Return home when possible. If you are unable to return home, isolate yourself in an area where only caretakers will have contact with you until you no longer have fever for 24 hours without using fever reducing medicine such as Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen.
The CDC does not recommend that doctor's notes be required. If you must miss class, contact your instructors immediately by phone or e-mail to let them know your status. Faculty members have been asked to exercise flexibility and to assist students in making up work they may miss. A doctor's note will not be required for an absence due to flu-like illness.
