Centers have indicated a need to develop a system for better data collection and reporting for Resource Clearinghouse services. Data collection draws from: 1) an inventory of resources with identification numbers or abbreviated names and 2) the maintenance of a list of uses/users with the factors below.
Data points needed for monitoring and reporting consist of:
*Person includes non-center staff such as mentors for whom arrangements are made to serve as resources.
You could use the "Other Services" file in Filemaker for Resource Clearinghouse by adding a couple of fields. One field would simply be a check box indicating whether the record pertains to Resource Clearinghouse or not. The second field could indicate what type of resource was used. This could be done with a pop-up menu. At the end of a year you could create a report by doing a find on the Resource Clearinghouse records.
