The database should be accessed by opening the Main Menu file (menu.fp3 for FileMaker 3 and 4 or menu.fp5 for FileMaker 5). Although there are some differences in the various versions of FileMaker, the basic database template works the same. Because of customizations to accommodate special needs, the templates for some Centers may be different. The Main Menu is set up for ease of data entry.

The following picture is an example of the Main Menu of a basic database template in the FileMaker Pro 3 program. Buttons on the picture are linked to pages with directions. Use your browser's BACK button to return to the previous page.

From the Menu, you can enter data for Professional Development Activities (PD), Professional Development Participants, Professional Development Attendance, Student Services Activities (SS), and Other Services Activities (OS), you can edit the school drop-down list, or you can close the database.
