School Drop-down List

The School Drop-down List is used in the PD Participant form to identify the school a participant is from. The list is also used to identify the "Schools/Districts Involved" in the OS and SS Activities forms. If a school does not appear in the drop-down list, the school can be added by selecting the "Edit School Drop-down List" button on the Main Switchboard, then by following the instructions on the Drop-down List form.

The MDEmain table contains an updated list of schools from the MDE website. The DBCODE field is a 10 digit text field made up of the 5 digit District number and the 4 digit Building number, separated by a dash.

If you want to add a school to the Drop-down list and the school is not listed in the MDEmain table, you can add a new record for the school to the MDEmain table. Designate a unique 10 digit code for the school's DBCODE. For example, if you know what district number the school is in, you could use the district number for the first five digits, a dash, and then a C001, C002 for new charter schools, or H001, H002 for home schools.
