Four-Year Scholarships

Minimum Requirements

  • 2.5 GPA, 19 ACT score
  • United States citizen
  • At least 17 years old at start of college
  • Under 27 years old at college graduation
  • Pass a medical examination
  • Pass the Army Physical Fitness Test
  • No civil convictions or arrests
  • Able and willing to serve on active duty
  • Be admitted to a four-year college (WMU, GVSU, Albion College, Calvin College, Hope College, Olivet College, K-College)

Selection Criteria

  • Results of SAT/ACT tests (Scholar)
  • High school academic standing (Scholar)
  • Extracurricular, leadership and athletic activities (Athlete-Leader)
  • Personal interview and APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test)

Financial Benefits

  • Full Annual Tuition
  • $1200 per year for books and supplies
  • $300-500 per month subsistence allowance ($3,000-5,000 for Fr, Soph, Jr, and Sr year)
  • Additionally, you will be eligible for $3000 on-campus room and board assistance from WMU

Commitments

  • Agree to complete your degree and maintain a 2.0 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in military science
  • Take one ROTC class per semester
  • Attend physical training three times per week
  • Attend field training one weekend per semester
  • Contract with the U.S. government to complete your degree and accept a commission in the Active Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard in your sophomore year
