Start strong—Army strong
The Bronco Battalion conducts activities in conjunction with Western Michigan University's Fall Welcome program. Cadets move into the residence halls early, have a barbecue with current cadets, cadre, alumni and family, meet with an academic adviser and plan your path to graduation, rappel, and take part in a number of other informative and fun activities.
All Army ROTC cadets get to move into the residence halls on Monday morning, regardless of which residence hall you are assigned, what other programs you may be involved in, or what letter your last name begins with. At WMU, "cadet" is defined as anyone enrolled in the military science class MSL 1010. Current cadets will be available to help you move in. Look for them and ask for their assistance.
We will be mailing you an information packet toward the end of July. This packet will have some forms for you to fill out. If you have a medical exam (physical) within the last year, be sure to send us a copy. Otherwise, you will be sent to get a medical exam at your expense.
If you are in multiple programs here at WMU, we have conducted coordination with those programs so that you will know where you need to be during Fall Welcome.
Don't forget that you now have a WMU student email account. Check it regularly during the summer. That is where WMU will send all important information.
