Major Kenneth Gaylor
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MILITARY SCIENCE
Major KENNETH R. GAYLOR Air Defense Officer and a 1999 Graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geographical Politics and Environmental Engineering and was commissioned in 1999. He is a former member of the Army Sprint football team. He recently received his Masters in Business Administration from Embry Riddle University. He is originally from Rudyard, Michigan.
His previous assignments include: Platoon Leader, Air Defense Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry, Regimental Plans Officer, 11th Armored Cavalry, Air Defense Fire Coordination Officer, III Corps Air Defense Element, Operations Officer Counter Terrorism-Special Operations Cell, Multi-National Security Transition Command Iraq, Company Commander, Battle Creek Recruiting Company, 3rd Recruiting Brigade. He is now serving as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
His military education includes Army Air Assault Course, Air Defense Officer Basic Course, Air Defense Officer Basic Shorad Course, Air Defense Officer Advance Course, CAS3, Mechanized Leaders Course and Recruiting Company Commanders Course. Awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Services Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Service Star, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Army Service Ribbon.
MAJ Gaylor is married with two children, a five year old son and a three year old daughter.
