Registration

Summer I and Summer II registration opened this morning for graduate students.  The priority schedule is as follows:

Monday	February 11	Graduate Students	8 a.m.
Teusday	February 12	Athletes, DSS, Honors, RAs, Trio	8 a.m.
Wednesday	February 13	Seniors (88)	8 a.m.
Thursday	February 14	Juniors (56)	8 a.m.
Friday	February 15	Sophomores (26)	8 a.m.
Friday	February 15	Freshmen (0)	Noon

Looking ahead:
The fall schedule will be available for viewing on Monday, February 25 and fall registration will open on Monday, March 11.

First Work Grade Deadline
Today is the deadline for instructors to submit a first work grade.   First work grades are entered on the midterm grading worksheet.  The midterm grade, which needs to be entered no later than March 11, will replace the first work grade on the worksheet.  Students will be able to view their midterm grade in GoWMU or, on a Smartphone through the WMU Mobile app, as soon as the grade has been entered.   Instructions on submitting a midterm grade can be found on the Registrar’s Office website at:

Fall 2012 Grading Closed
Grading for Fall 2012 I has been closed. Students who were not issued a grade by the instructor have been given an incomplete. Instructors can remove the "I" grade using the link on the Faculty menu in GoWMU.

FERPA and the Health and Safety Exception
The health or safety emergency exception of FERPA permits school officials to share relevant information with those parties whose knowledge of the information is necessary to provide immediate protection of the health or safety of the student or other individuals.

Typically, law enforcement officials, public health officials, and medical personnel are the types of parties to whom information may be disclosed to under this FERPA exception.  This exception does not allow for a blanket release of protected information; rather the release must be limited to the period of the emergency and to those individuals who have a need to know. 

 Upcoming Dates:

• Monday, February 11 – First work grade due
• Friday, March 1-- Last day for 25% tuition refund for a complete withdraw
• Friday, March 1—Spirit day
• Monday, March 4—Spring break begins
• Monday, March 11 – Midterm grading closes, end of day
• Monday, March 11—Classes resume
• Monday, March 18—Last day to withdraw from Spring courses
• April 22-26—Final Exam week
• Saturday, April 27—Commencement
• Tuesday,  April 30--Spring grades due at noon
