The deadline for instructors to enter Fall 2012 midterm grades in Banner was last night at midnight. Students can view midterm grades in GoWMU or on an android or iPhone using the WMU mobile app.
The reserved seating feature in Banner allows departments to reserve seats in sections of a course for a particular group of students. While this functionality is not new to Banner, it is new to WMU. The Registrar’s Office has been working with Economics; Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Imaging; Communication; Dance and Music to pilot reserved seating for Spring 2013 registration. Reversed seating will be available for all departments to use during Fall 2013 registration.
The reserved seating totals are set up in SSASECT on the “Reserved Seats” tab located under “Section Enrollment”. Students can view the reserved seating counts in GoWMU on the “Class Schedule List” by clicking on the course title.
If you are working with a student who is reporting that they are receiving a “Reserved-Closed” message when attempting to register for a class, that means that the section has been set up for reserved seating and there are no seats available that the student qualifies for.
Additional information on reserved seating can be found on the faculty/staff tab of the Registrar’s Office website if you are interested in learning more about it.
The tuition and fee page on the Registrar’s Office website has a new look. It was updated to make it easier for students to determine the cost of attendance in colleges with differential tuition and to help distinguish EUP tuition from main campus tuition. The new page can be found at:
The tuition and fee page and the tuition calculator have been updated to reflect the differential tuition rate that will be assessed to students in the College of Engineering starting in Spring 2013.
