We are making great progress scribing, which is the first phase of the Degree Works project. Scribing is the process of coding degree information and program requirements into the system. We have completed scribing for the colleges of Arts and Sciences and Education. The advisors in these two colleges are working to validate that the degree requirements have been accurately interpreted and to verify that Degree Works is appropriately enforcing the requirements. Aviation is close to being done and we look forward to begin working with Fine Arts and Engineering soon.
Did you know…
Degree Works will help us gather information to assist with course and academic planning. Data can be obtained to determine which students are approaching graduation and gauge how many students are going to need a particular class in an upcoming semester. We will also be able to see how courses are being used to fulfill degree requirements.
