Spring semester grades are due tomorrow, May 1, at noon. The grading system will be turned off soon after the deadline and we will begin processing. Grades will be available for students to view as soon as processing has been completed, which we anticipate will be sometime in the late afternoon or early evening tomorrow.
Students will be notified through their wmich.edu e-mail account if their academic standing changes to probation, extended probation, final probation or dismissal. The e-mail will explain what the standing means and what impact it has on future registration. If the student has been academically dismissed, a hard copy letter will also be mailed to their permanent/home address.
Students who have been academically dismissed will be dropped from their Summer I courses on Thursday, May 3.
Summer I session starts next Monday, May 7. In preparation, please ensure that all sections have an instructor of record and that all sections on hold are either canceled or made active.
Where Did My Cognos Folder Go?
If you’ve signed into Cognos recently, you probably have noticed that we have added several new folders to the top of the list. These folders represent the framework of our new directory structure, and over the next several months, we’ll be updating reports and moving them into the new folders. (Don’t be alarmed - you’ll receive an e-mail each time we plan to move or modify one of the reports you use!)
Depending on your settings, the new folders may have bumped the older folders onto the next page. To see these, you can either use the navigation buttons at the top right side of the folder list to move to the next page, or you can change your settings to show more entries on each page.
To change your settings, use the drop-down arrow next to My Area (the person-like icon, 3rd from the right, in the colored bar). Click on My Preferences. Change the field labeled “Number of entries to view in list” (found in the upper left corner) setting to a higher number; the maximum is 999.
