December Graduation Deadline

As you work with students who plan to complete their degree requirements at the end of the Fall 2012 semester, please remind them to submit their application for graduation before the August 1 deadline. We want to make sure perspective graduates remember to take care of this important step before they leave campus for the summer.

Fall Registration

Fall 2012 registration continues this week with sophomores and freshman eligible to register.  The priority schedule for the week is as follows:

Monday	March 26	Sophomores	26		8 a.m.
Tuesday	March 27	Freshmen	18		8 a.m.
Tuesday	March 27	Freshman	14		Noon
Wednesday	March 28	Freshmen	12		8 a.m.
Wednesday	March 28	Freshmen	0		Noon

Waitlist Reminders

If a section already has students on the waitlist, it is important that you never override the capacity and register other students into the course.   Doing so will prevent the student on the waitlist from being able to register even though they may have received notification that a seat is available and they have 24 hours to add.   

There are two forms available in Banner to help you monitor students on the waitlist:

• SFAWLPR allows you to see the students who are waitlisted for a particular section and will show what position they are in the waitlist queue.  
• SFIWLNT lists students who have been notified that a seat is available and will indicate if the student is pending (the student has been notified and is still within the 24 hour window to add), expired (the student has been dropped from the waitlist either because they have dropped themselves or exceeded the 24 hour time frame) or registered (the student has enrolled in the course).

If you are interested in adding the waitlist option to a Fall 2012 section, it isn’t too late. Just submit a pink sheet to the Registrar's Office and we will add the waitlisted seats to Banner.

Spring 2012 Grading

Grading for the Spring 2012 semester is now open. Grades are due no later than noon on Tuesday, May 1.

Upcoming Dates:

• April 23-27—Final Exam week
• Saturday, April 28—Spring Commencement
• Tuesday, May 1—Spring grades due at noon
• Monday, May 7—Summer I classes begin at 8 a.m.
• Friday, May 11—Drops/add ends
• Monday, May 14—Census
• Tuesday, May 21—Last day to receive 50% refund for complete withdrawal
• Monday, May 28—Memorial Day Recess
• Friday, June 1—Last day to receive 25% refund for complete withdrawal
• Monday, June 4—Last day to withdraw
• Wednesday, June 27—Session ends
